Learning Outcomes

The course aims to introduce the student to the principles of design, operation, and programming of software applications for integrated industrial production systems. The concepts of the information industry model and integrated production systems are developed. The concepts of distributed control systems, closed and open architecture, real-time systems, and supervisory control and data collection systems are analyzed. The principles and tools of industrial software design are explained. The principles of industrial data and control networks are described and real examples of software applications for controlling industrial processes are given.
