Purpose & Philosophy
“KΒANTA 2027” aims to serve as the premier national, interdisciplinary platform connecting undergraduate, postgraduate students, and Ph.D. candidates from across Greece. Its objective is to provide young researchers from Science and Engineering fields with the opportunity to present their research, receive valuable feedback, network, and collaborate around rapidly emerging quantum technologies, contributing to national and European digital sovereignty strategies.
Conference Thematic Tracks
The conference proceedings are structured into eight (8) core interdisciplinary tracks:
- Quantum Computing and Algorithms(Qubits, quantum gates, Grover/Shor algorithms, quantum programming).
- Quantum Communications, Quantum Internet, and Cryptography(QKD, quantum networks, post-quantum cryptography, teleportation).
- Quantum Sensors, Metrology, and Imaging(Magnetometers, atomic clocks, medical and environmental applications).
- Quantum Materials and Condensed Matter Physics(Superconductors, topological materials, 2D materials, nanostructures).
- Quantum Chemistry and Biology(Molecular simulation, quantum biology, drug design).
- Quantum Technologies and Engineering(Quantum processors, cryogenics, photonics, industrial applications).
- Quantum Education, Skills, and Policy(Educational approaches, ethics, national/European strategy).
- Interdisciplinary Applications(Quantum artificial intelligence, optimization, finance, energy).
Target Audience
The conference actively invites students from:
- Schools of Science (Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, etc.)
- Engineering Schools / Faculties (Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc.)
- Submissions are welcome for primary research work, literature reviews, or ongoing thesis/research projects, intended for either oral presentations or poster sessions.
Student Awards
Aiming to encourage academic excellence, honorary best student paper and poster awards will be presented across study levels (Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Ph.D.).
