- understand the basic meteorological quantities and the phenomena in the atmosphere.
- know the basic meteorological measuring instruments.
- manage a weather station.
- gather meteorological data from the internet.
- process and analyze meteorological data.
- apply digital systems solutions to problems involving meteorological forecasts and analyses.
Indicative Module Content
The course introduces the student to basic concepts of meteorology and climatology focusing on the physics of the atmosphere and the application of digital systems to measurements and numerical weather forecasting.
